I think I’m around 15 or 16 in this photo. A friend and I had just watched Rambo II — or maybe it was a kung fu movie. Now the picture hangs on the fridge, to remind me not to take myself too seriously.

  • I like chocolate — I really like chocolate.

  • Casablanca and The Empire Strikes Back are two of my favorite films.

  • I don’t smoke anymore, but I don’t mind if others do.

  • When I drink wine, I prefer white — especially a Pinot Gris.

Hi. My name is Kim. I’m a photographer and I live in the middle of Denmark.

I don’t give a fuck about perfection - for me it’s about emotions!

I can’t really imagine a morning without coffee — or a summer without standing by the North Sea. I’m tall, usually with long hair and a full beard. I’ve got two daughters, Alma and Ester, and they’re hands down the biggest story of my life.

I live right in the middle of Denmark, and honestly, I feel pretty lucky doing what I do. My job is about love. I’m not much of a romantic, to be honest — but the reason people hire me is because they love someone. And that’s kind of awesome.

Most days, I’m surrounded by people who are in love, happy, and just generally having a good time. Not the worst way to make a living.

About being a bit offgrid

I’ve chosen to step away from social media. So if you’re looking for me there, you won’t find me.
Not because I think I’m better than anyone — but because I don’t like what it does to us. To our conversations. To our attention. To our thoughts. I could feel it wasn’t doing me any good. The noise, the constant stream of content, the pressure to always be “on” — it drained me more than it gave.

So now, I work a little differently. I try to find other ways to reach people — without depending on algorithms or “engagement.”
It’s not easy when you run a business. And yeah, I make compromises here and there.

Maybe you found me through Google. Or maybe through a Facebook ad. That wouldn’t be my first choice — but I’m not going to pretend it doesn’t happen.

What I’m trying to do is find and create alternatives. Slower ways of connecting. More direct contact. More presence.
It’s not a manifesto. It’s not a solution.
It’s a direction — away from the algorithm, and toward something that feels more like a real conversation.

This is me doing my Wildling
look - normally I’m a bit less bushcraft like… ;-)

I use a paper calendar. No notifications — and it doesn’t send my data anywhere.
My emails come from ProtonMail (and no, it’s not a new coffee drink).
I do meetings by phone or Jitsi Meet — not Teams, not Google Meet, nothing that requires a login or endless loading screens.
I use DuckDuckGo because I like searching without being followed around afterwards.

Yeah, it’s a bit more of a hassle.
But it’s quieter.
And it fits better with the way I want to be in the world.
